Review: Roguebook, What’s changed since Beta? We share our thoughts now that the game is officially released

Welcome to the Bellhop’s Digital Tabletop. In this video we return to Roguebook, a roguelike digital deck-building card game from Abrakam Entertainment, who teamed up with the designer of Magic the Gathering, Richard Garfield, to bring us this game.

We originally reviewed RogueBook when it was still in closed beta status. We were both shocked by the number of changes that have been made to the game now that it is in the public release edition. These changes significantly changed the feel of the game. In some ways for the better but in other ways for the worse.

Disclosure: NACOM was cool enough to provide us with one steam code for Roguebook, we did purchase a second copy so we could both play the game. Some of the links in this post are affiliate links.

How is Roguebook, now that it’s in public release?

Description From Steam:

Embrace the challenge of a roguelike deckbuilder with unique mechanics from the developers of Faeria and Richard Garfield, creator of Magic: The Gathering. Build a team of two heroes, unleash powerful combos and defeat the legends of the Roguebook!
