Surprisingly complex games – Games that were much more than we expected – Tabletop Bellhop Gaming Podcast Episode 103

August 25, 2020 by Moe T. Leave a Comment

Surprisingly Complex Games - Games that were much more than we expected. In this episode, we talk about games that surprised us in a good way. In the game room, we compare a couple of games with older versions of them. First will be how Gloomhaven Jaws of the Lion differs from Gloomhaven and then Mermaid Adventures Revised, which is now a setting book for The Pip System Corebook. In The Bellhop's Tabletop, we talk about Camp Capstone, another online game convention, and Runaway Hirelings an improv-heavy fantasy RPG.

I attended my first online game convention – A look at Renegade Con: Virtual

June 9, 2020 by Moe T. Leave a Comment

This past weekend I took some time to take part in Renegade Con: Virtual an online tabletop game convention put on by Renegade Game Studios.

I had my doubts about how much an online game con could feel like a real con but was very impressed with my experience with this virtual con last weekend. It really did have some of the feel of a physical game convention. [ READ MORE ]
