Watch to see what you get with the deck-building board game Cowboy Bebop Space Serenade from Japanime Games.
This competitive card game where players take on the roles of Bebop’s four bounty hunters is based on the Cowboy Bebop animated series, not the live action Netflix series.
Disclosure: Thanks to Japanime Games for sending us a review copy of this anime inspired board game.
Unboxing Cowboy Bebop Space Serenade
From the Publisher:
Cowboy Bebop: Space Serenade is a competitive deck-building game with 2 to 4 players in which you play one of the four members of the famous Bebop crew.
Each player tries to prove that he is the best bounty hunter by getting the most reputation points by the end of the game. To do so, they will have to capture the criminals wanted by the ISSP, in a spirit of limited collaboration.
During the game, players buy cards that allow them to improve their personal deck, in order to better manage the resources necessary for their victory. They are also able to move from planet to planet with gas or use their special abilities and even those of other players if they are in the same place as them.
The game ends when the terrible Vicious is captured or has fled.
A Correction: During this unboxing, I noted that I thought that the game was Kickstarted. It was not. I also made a comment about extra room in the box. This ended up being wrong, as there is just enough room for everything that comes in this game and there’s a spot for everything. It’s actually a really great insert.
Since recording this video we have totally fallen in love with this game. Check out our Cowboy Bebop Space Serenade Review to find out why.
It’s still one of my favourite deck building games of all time!
