Join us for four hours of guided gaming with the team from the Tabletop Bellhop Gaming Podcast.
Sunday Afternoon Gaming is our smaller, more hands-on game day. With limited spots, we have more time to help you choose games, get you playing, and teach the rules. We also spotlight newer games, including some that aren’t available to the public yet, plus there are door prize draws, game giveaways, and other surprises.

What happens at an event like this?
You have the choice of sticking to the group of friends or family that you arrive with, or mixing and playing games with other folk.
To help you pick a game to play, there will be menus listing the games available and giving you an idea of what each game is about.
The Tabletop Bellhop team will be there to recommend games and to help set up and teach games.
Oh, and there will be draws throughout the afternoon for door prizes.
Will there be food or drinks?
Hidden Trail has a limited selection of snacks and drinks available for sale, including Soda Pop Bros sodas and bottled water.
What games will there be to play?
We will be bringing a curated selection of games. We create a menu for the event and we try to include something for everyone.
We bring quick filler games and longer epic games. We bring strategy games, party games, and dexterity games. We bring lighter games, medium weight games, and even a few heavier games.
Will you teach me to play a game?
Yes! We love helping people learn a new game!
The Tabletop Bellhop team will be there, to help set up and teach games.
There will be three game teachers at the event, and between the three of us we should know how to play all of the games on the menu.
However, we can’t guarantee that someone will always be available to teach a game when you decide to play it, as we can only teach one game at a time.
The right person needs to be available. So depending on the game and if teachers are tied up with someone else, you may need to wait for a teach (or you’re welcome to dive into the rulebook and try figuring it out on your own).
Can I bring my own games?
Yes, of course you’re welcome to bring some of your own favourites with you. However we find most people enjoy getting the chance to try out the games we bring.
Can I make a game request?
If you let us know at least two days before the event, we will try to accommodate any requests. We have a pretty extensive game library, but we definitely don’t have everything. Send an email to deanna@tabletopbellhop.com and we’ll see if we have the game you’re hoping to play.
Is this a good event to bring my child to?
If you have a board game loving kid that you want to bring along, by all means, please do so. We recommend a minimum age of 12, but every kid is different and you know your child best.
I'm not an adult, can I come on my own?
Older teens are welcome, but we kindly ask that anyone under the age of 16 be accompanied by an adult.
I am an adult, do I need to bring friends to play with or can I come on my own?
Showing up solo is totally acceptable! We’ll even try and help pair you up with folks to play with.
How do I find this place?
If you’ve never been there before, finding Hidden Trail Experiences can be a bit confusing.
Their address is on McDougall but the entrance is around the back of the building.
If you are driving down McDougall and you see the Scarehouse, that’s the right building. Hidden Trail Experiences is located on the ground floor in the same space as Scarehouse, and the door to get in is around the back (or west) side of the building which can be accessed off of Ellis or Shepherd.
Where do I park?
If you go to the website for Scarehouse they have a handy parking guide (Hidden Trail Experiences is in the same building as Scarehouse).
