I take a look inside the box for A Little Wordy, the tenth game from Exploding Kittens. Surprisingly this Exploding Kittens game isn’t a party game at all.
A Little Wordy is a very neat, two-player, tile-based, word game that rewards players for being clever rather than having the best vocabulary.
Disclosure: Exploding Kittens sent me a review copy of this game. No other compensation was provided.
A look at A Little Wordy, the latest game from The Oatmeal:
A Little Wordy is a fresh and clever take on the genre of tile-based word games. The game requires players to assemble a word from a set of tiles and keep that Secret Word to themselves. Both players then take turns trying to decipher each other’s Secret Word by paying for clues and hints with berry tokens. Whoever has the most berry tokens at the end, WINS!
– It’s not a game about having the mightiest vocabulary. It’s a game about making clever choices.
– It’s highly replayable and every game is different.
– Includes two dry erase birdy shields and two dry erase markers.
– Illustrations from the creator of The Oatmeal.
While I’m not a big fan of most of the games from Exploding Kittens, I really enjoyed this one. Read my A Little Wordy written review, watch our A Little Wordy Review on YouTube or check out Episode 131 of the Tabletop Gaming Podcast to find out why!
